Presentation of Awareness Seminars
The Halabja Disabled Organization has continued its efforts to raise awareness about children with disabilities by conducting a seminar for (Bakhi Mir Kindergarten).
We sincerely extend our gratitude to Bakhi Mir Kindergarten for their warm hospitality and the invaluable services they provide to children with disabilities.

The Halabja Disabled Organization participated in the High Committee meeting for the Scientific Conference on "People with Disabilities / Accessible Environment - Inclusive Society," to discuss preparations for the upcoming conference scheduled for December 3, 2024, in observance of the World Day of Persons with Disabilities. This conference is a collaborative effort between Sulaimani University and the Halabja Disabled Organization.

welcoming and awarding of certificates of participation
On November 8, 2024, the Halabja Disabled Organization (HDO) proudly hosted a welcoming and awards ceremony to honor participants of the National Magic Math Competition. The event was attended by Ms. Pri Khan and her team from Arsan Organization, who presented certificates to the young achievers. HDO was thrilled to celebrate the success of five children with disabilities who participated in this year’s competition, achieving outstanding ranks and showcasing their talents.
A heartfelt thank you to Arsan Organization for their continuous support of children with disabilities, empowering them to shine in programs like these.

The Halabja Disabled Organization extended a warm welcome to champion Muslim Akram, presenting him with a flower bouquet in recognition of his remarkable achievement of securing third place in the Asian Paralympic Championships.
Muslim Akram, representing the Khurmal Karate Club, was the sole Iraqi Paralympic athlete to compete in the Asian Karate Championships, where he proudly claimed the third-place title. His success stands as a testament to the fact that individuals with disabilities can accomplish their goals when provided with an enabling environment.
The Halabja Disabled organization also expresses its sincere gratitude to Khurmal Karate Club for its unwavering dedication to supporting those in need and for participating in such prestigious tournaments.
Participation
At the official invitation of the German Consulate, the Halabja Disabled Organization had the honor of participating in the commemoration of the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany. During the event, the Halabja Disabled Organization extended its heartfelt congratulations to the German Consulate.
Sign Language Training
Sign language serves as a vital tool in promoting inclusive education in the Kurdistan Region. Raising awareness among educators, particularly those in special education, is an essential step toward this goal.
In collaboration with the Medya Medical Organization, the Halabja Disabled Organization will conduct a comprehensive 10-day training program in sign language, specifically tailored for special education teachers within the General Directorate of Education in Halabja.
The training curriculum is based on the latest scientific methods and introduces educators to the unspoken world of the deaf community. Through this training, teachers will gain the ability to understand their students better and become proficient in using essential sign language codes.
This practical initiative represents a significant resource for special education teachers and marks the beginning of a transformative experience in the field of education.
