Within the framework of the MYRP project and as part of a multi-year recovery program in Iraq supported by Save the Children under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.

Halabja Disabled Organization organized an activity on the opening of schools and the new academic year in both Hawar and Dlin schools in Erbil.

The main objective of this activity was to provide psychological support and a pleasant and encouraging atmosphere for students, especially first grade students with the start of the new school year. The event implemented a number of items, including:

Provision of school supplies: Distribution of bags and school supplies (stationery) to first grade students by Medical Media Organization, in order to ease the burden on families and encourage children to study

Psychological and social support: Organize a special celebration in order to create a respectful and pleasant atmosphere according to psychological and educational standards to prepare students for the learning process

Representatives of the Ministry of Education, World Child Protection Organization, officials and representatives of government and party institutions participated in the meeting, which reflects the cooperation and coordination between civil society organizations and administrative bodies to support the education sector

Such activities play a significant role in creating a favorable environment for learners and strengthening the psychological infrastructure of children in different parts of the Kurdistan Region

​لە چوارچێوەی پڕۆژەی (MYRP)  وەک بەشێک لە بەرنامەی چاکبوونەوەی چەندساڵە لە عێراق کە لەلایەن ڕێکخراوی منداڵپارێزی جیهانییەوە پاڵپشتی دەکرێت بەسەرپەرشتی وەزارەتی پەروەردە .

 ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامانی هەڵەبجە چالاکییەکی لەسەر کردنەوەی دەرگای قوتابخانە و ساڵی نوێی خوێندن لە هەردوو قوتابخانەی هاوار و  قوتابخانەی دلین لە شاری هەولێر سازکرد.

​ئامانجی سەرەکیی ئەم چالاکییە بریتی بوو لە پشتگیریی دەروونی و بەخشینی کەشێکی خۆش و هاندەر بۆ قوتابیان، بەتایبەتی قوتابیانی پۆلی یەکەمی بنەڕەتی لەگەڵ دەستپێکی ساڵی نوێی خوێندندا. چالاکییەکە کۆمەڵێک بڕگەی تێدا جێبەجێ کرا، لەوانە:

ڕۆژی ٢٠٢٦/٨/١٩ بەشداری ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامانی هەڵەبجە لە کۆبونەوەیەک، بۆ گفتوگۆکردن سەبارەت بە بارودۆخی هەڵەبجە، ژنان، گەنجان و کەمئەندامان کارو چالاکیەکانی ڕیکخراوەکان، بە ئامادەبونی بەڕێزان عیرفان سدیق، باڵیۆزی نوێی بەریتانیا لە عێراق، هۆلی ڤیر، کونسوڵی گشتی بەریتانیا، خاتوو نوخشە ناسیح، پارێزگاری هەڵەبجە، و نوێنەری چەند ڕێكخراوێكی کۆمەڵگەی مەدەنی لە هەڵەبجە كە لە زانکوی هەڵەبجە کۆبونەوەکە ڕێکخرابوو. 

ئەمڕۆ سێشەممە، بە سەرپەرشتی بەڕێز نوخشە ناصح پارێزگاری هەڵەبجە لە دیوانی پارێزگا، کۆبوونەوەیەک لەگەڵ ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامانی هەڵەبجە بە سەرۆکایەتی بەڕێز ”مەریوان وەهبی ڕەشید” بەڕێوەچوو. 

کۆبوونەوەکە تایبەت بوو بە تاوتوێکردنی ڕێگەچارەکان بۆ زیاتر خزمەتکردنی کەسانی خاوەن پێداویستیی تایبەت و فراوانکردنی هەماهەنگییەکان لە بواری پەروەردەو خوێندنی تایبەت، هاوکات بەڕێز پارێزگار پاڵپشتی تەواوی ئیدارەی پارێزگای بۆ ڕەخساندنی ژینگەیەکی گونجاو  بۆ ئەم توێژە گرنگەی کۆمەڵگە دووپات کردەوە.

A representative of Halabja Disabled Organization attended the opening ceremony of the National Referral Center (NRM) in Halabja province

The National Referral Center (NRM) has been opened in Halabja province as part of the steps taken by the Ministry of Interior to serve more citizens.

The main objective of this center is to facilitate the reintegration of citizens who have returned from abroad

لە چوارچێوەی هەوڵە بەردەوامەکان بۆ خزمەتکردن و ئاسانکاری لە ژیانی ڕۆژانەی کەسانی خاوەن پێداویستیی تایبەت، ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامانی هەڵەبجە بە هاوکاری و پشتیوانیی ڕێکخراوی بەختەوەری، لە بینای ڕێکخراوەکەمان هەستا بە دابەشکردنی ٨ کورسیی کارەبایی (ویلچەر) بەسەر ژمارەیەک لە خاوەن پێداویستییە تایبەتەکانی سنووری پارێزگای هەڵەبجە.

​لە کۆتاییدا، ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامانی هەڵەبجە سوپاس و پێزانینی ئاڕاستەی ڕێکخراوی بەختەوەری دەکات بۆ پشتیوانی بەردەوام و هاوکارییە بەپێزەکانیان بۆ کەسانی خاوەن پێداویستیی تایبەت، بەو هیوایەی ئەم جۆرە هەماهەنگی و هاوکارییانە لە پێناو خزمەتکردنی زیاتری ئەم چینە گرنگەی کۆمەڵگە بەردەوام بێت.

As part of its continuous efforts to serve and facilitate the daily lives of people with disabilities, Halabja Disabled Organization with the cooperation and support of Bakhtawari Organization, distributed 8 electric wheelchairs to a number of people with disabilities in Halabja province.

Finally, Halabja Disabled Organization would like to thank Bakhtawari Organization for their continuous support and assistance to people with disabilities, in the hope that such coordination and assistance will continue to serve this important section of society.

Strengthening Education in Emergencies through Knowledge Exchange and Collaboration

UNESCO, in partnership with Al Rakeezah Foundation for Relief and Development (RRD) and Save the Children International (SCI), organized a five-day training programme on Education in Emergencies (EiE) under the EU-funded ITALEEM project, implemented jointly by UNESCO and UNICEF.

The programme included one online day on 29 July 2026, followed by four days of in-person training from 3–6 August 2026 in Erbil, bringing together 28 participants from CSOs, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Migration and Displacement.

The training strengthened participants’ knowledge and practical skills in key areas of EiE, including inclusive and conflict-sensitive education, needs assessment, preparedness, coordination and advocacy for education in emergencies. Through interactive sessions, case studies and practical exercises, participants explored ways to make education responses safer, more inclusive and responsive to learners affected by emergencies.

 دوای چالاکییەکانی تەواوی وەرزی هاوین، خولی هاوینەی «هاوڕێیانی منداڵەکەم» کە لە لایەن مامۆستا شادان کمال(دایکی منداڵێکی داون سیندرۆم) دەستپێکرابوو،ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامانی هەڵەبجە لە هەرەسەرەتای دەستپێکردنی پڕۆژەکەوە پشتیوانیی تەواوی خۆی دەربڕی و بووە سپۆنسەری فەرمیی خولەکە, گەیشتە وێستگەی کۆتایی. لەم خولەدا  زیاتر لە ٦٠ منداڵ لە ناویشیاندا منداڵانی خاوەن پێداویستیی تایبەت بەشداربوون و پێکەوە فێری بنەماکانی پەروەردەی کۆمەڵایەتی،کوردی ، بیرکاری ،ئینگلیزی، وێنە کێشان ، یاریە فکریەکان ، پاراستنی ژینگە، کەمتر بەکارهێنانی پلاستیک و داهێنانی هونەری بون.

​ لە ڕۆژی کۆتاییشدا، بە هاوبەشی لەگەڵ بەڕێوەبەرایەتیی گشتیی ڕۆشنبیری و هونەری پارێزگای هەڵەبجە، پێشانگایەکی شێوەکاری و کاری دەستی بۆ بەرهەمەکانی منداڵان ڕێکخرا بەئامادەبونی زۆربەی بەڕێوبەرایەتی و فەرمانگەکانی پارێزگای هەلەبجە .

 لە کۆتاییدا بڕوانامەی بەشداریکردن بەخشرا بە هەموو منداڵە بەشداربووەکان.

​دەستخۆشی لە مامۆستا شادان و سەرجەم خێزانەکان  وهەموو ئەوکەسانە  کە هاوکار بوون لە بەرەوپێش چونی ئەم خولە وە سوپاسی بەڕێوەبەرایەتیی گشتیی ڕۆشنبیری و هونەری هەڵەبجە دەکەین بۆ هاوکارییەکان.

Today, after the activities of the summer season, the summer course “My Child's Friends” which was started by Shadan Kamal (mother of a child with Down syndrome), Halabja Disabled Organization expressed its full support from the beginning of the project.  More than 60 children, including children with disabilities, participated in this course and learned the basics of social education, Kurdish, mathematics, English, drawing, intellectual games, environmental protection, less use of plastic and artistic creativity.

 On the last day, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Culture and Arts of Halabja province, an exhibition of arts and crafts for children's products was organized in the presence of most of the directorates and offices of Halabja province.

  At the end, certificates of participation were awarded to all participating children.

 We would like to thank Shadan and all the families and all those who helped in the development of this course and we would like to thank the General Directorate of Culture and Arts of Halabja for their assistance.

On August 19, 2026, Halabja Disabled Organization participated in a meeting to discuss the situation of Halabja, women, youth,  Piple with disabilities and the work and activities of civil society organizations. The meeting was attended by His Excellency, Mr. Irfan Siddiq, the newly appointed British Ambassador to Iraq; Ms. Holly Vare, British Consul General; Ms. Nuxsha Nasih, Governor of Halabja; and representatives of several civil society organizations in Halabja. The meeting was held at the University of Halabja.
