Parents committee meeting in both Hawar and Dlin schools

Halabja Disabled Organization (HDO) held a meeting of the parents committee of Hawar and Dlin schools in Erbil.

The meeting discussed developments, exchange of information and ideas, administrative and educational preparations to welcome the new academic year and how to prepare to provide an inclusive education in which all students have their rights and how to work in the inclusive room in both schools.

This activity is part of the #MYRP project funded by Education Cannot Wait and granted by Save the Children International Iraq

Strengthening the role of civil society in shaping the future of education in Iraq.

UNESCO, in collaboration with Un Ponte Per (UPP), brought together 22 members of the Iraq Civil Society Education Forum (ICSEF) in Erbil for a week of learning, exchange, and collaboration.

Representatives from across Iraq explored key topics including non-formal education, advocacy, TVET, and community engagement, strengthening their ability to contribute to education policy and promote more inclusive and relevant learning opportunities for all.

By empowering civil society voices, UNESCO supports ongoing efforts to build an education system that is equitable, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of communities across Iraq.

The workshop was organized under the ITALEEM and Green and Digital TVET III projects, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNESCO.

پەروەردەییەکان و کارکردن بۆ دابینکردنی هەلی فێربوونی گشتگیرتر و

گونجاوتر بۆ هەمووان.

یونسکۆ لە ڕێگەی بەهێزکردنی دەنگی کۆمەڵگەی مەدەنی، پاڵپشتی لەو هەوڵە بەردەوامانە

دەکات کە ئامانجیان بونیادنانی سیستمێکی پەروەردەیی دادپەروەر، گشتگیر و

​ئەم لیژنەیە پێکهاتووە لەو قوتابییە دڵسۆزانەی کە نیشتەجێی نزیک قوتابخانەکانن، بە مەبەستی:

​پاراستنی ژینگەی ناوخۆ و دەوروبەری قوتابخانەکان و سەرجەم کەلوپەلەکانی قوتابخانە و ڕاگرتنی پاکوخاوێنییان.

​چاودێریکردنی بەردەوام و ڕێکخستنی ناوەندەکان وەک ئامادەکارییەکی پێشوەختە بۆ پێشوازیکردن لە ساڵی نوێی خوێندن.

​بەرزکردنەوەی ئاستی هۆشیاری ژینگەیی لە نێوان قوتابییاندا و هەستکردن بە بەرپرسیاریەتی و دروستکردنی کەشێکی تەندروست و لەبار بۆ خوێندن.

پێدانی ڕۆڵ بە قوتابیان تاببنە پردێکی پەیوەندی لە نێوان قوتابخانە و دایباب و ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامان .

Preparing for the new school year

Halabja Disabled Organization held a special meeting with the school environmental protection committee of both schools (Hawar and Dlin) in Erbil.

Composition and objectives of the committee:

This committee consists of loyal students who live near the schools, in order to:

Protect the environment in and around schools and all school equipment and keep them clean.

Continuous monitoring and organization of centers as a preliminary preparation for welcoming the new school year.

Raising environmental awareness among students, a sense of responsibility and creating a healthy and favorable learning environment.

Give students a role to be a bridge between the school, parents and disability organizations.

The supervision of these committees and meetings by Halabja Disabled Organization is part of the organization's strategy to support the education process and provide an appropriate and inclusive environment for all students.

Preparing for the new school year

As part of our continuous efforts to support the educational process and provide the needs of students with disabilities, in partnership and cooperation between Halabja Disabled Organization and World Child Protection Organization, and initiated and provided by the Iraqi Alliance for Disabled People (IADO),

In this activity, medical supplies (medical glasses, earphones, and wheelchairs) were provided and distributed to the students with low vision and hearing in both schools (Hawar) and (Dlin) in Erbil.

Our goal is to provide equal opportunities and reduce the barriers facing these talented students for a brighter future.

ڕاهێنانێک لەسەر ژووری گشتگیر بۆ مامۆستایانی پەروەردەی تایبەت بەڕێوەچوو.

Congratulations and continued service

On 6/5/2026, we hosted Mr. Raber Sabah and Mr. Hawkar Abdullah, consultants of the blind. In a meeting we discussed our plans and future work to support the rights of the disabled and the blind.

We, as Halabja Disabled Organization, are proud to have always been everyone's home. We are grateful for the symbolic award given to us by the blind of our beloved city. This award increases our responsibility to work harder to ensure your rights, especially in providing employment opportunities and participation in various fields.

Our work and service continues for everyone without discrimination

A training on inclusive rooms was held for special education teachers.

A training course for special education teachers was held in two schools (Hawar and Dlin) in Erbil in the presence of representatives of Halabja Disabled Organization. The training focused on introducing the “universal room”, the mechanisms of working in the room and how to use the materials and equipment provided for educational services.

Messages of congratulations and honors

On the occasion of the end of the academic year and the completion of an important educational stage, as Halabja Disabled Organization, we warmly congratulate all the sixth grade students of both schools (Hawar and Dlin) in Erbil.

We are pleased that at this stage, through providing a series (trainings, seminars and school renovation projects) in a way that is consistent with the principles of inclusive education, we have been able to be a real helper and supporter of our dear students.

We wish continued success and a bright future to all students in the coming stages
