Koya: Steeped in Art and History

In October 24, 2026, Halabja Organizations Solidarity Platform conducted it’s third trip to Koya city. 

During the tour, the delegation visited Zaynab Khan Institute, where we held a friendly discussion with Dr. Mahabad Azad

(Director of the Institute), Mr. Arazu Ismail (Administrative Director), and the administration staff, focusing on civil society work and familiarizing ourselves with each other's initiatives.

While in Koya, we also visited the Qishla Citadel, the historic Grand Bazaar of Koya, and the Rostam Aghala Museum. To conclude our visit, we enjoyed a soothing

piece of music at Aesthetica Café.

We extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Mahabad and Mr. Arazu for their warm reception and hospitality.
