Halabja Disabled Organization participated in important conference focused on preventing violent extremism in Iraq!

The conference highlighted the crucial role of civil society in this endeavor, bringing together stakeholders to discuss innovative approaches and successful projects.

Additionally, the HDO representatives will participate in the IOM PVE Plan of Action National-Local coordination conference in Baghdad. This event aims to enhance collaboration between the Government of Iraq and civil society in implementing the National Strategy to Combat Violent Extremism.

Their significant involvement in peacebuilding through meaningful dialogues cannot be understated. Consequently, the Halabja Disabled Organization, with the support of the International Organization for Migration, recently conducted its third youth dialogue in Halabja. The focus was on the influence of knowledge in advancing peace, tolerance, and non-violence, led by Yasin Omar. This activity was in the framework of the "Peace Builders Project."

Women educators and builders of coexistence, especially women religious leaders in Halabja, have a longstanding role and influence in teaching the alphabet of peace to most of our generations. In the framework of this important role, the Halabja Disabled Organization conducted a three-day training for women religious leaders in Halabja community

In our world of diversity, the concept of tolerance is like the glue that holds us together.

In response to the importance of this concept, Halabja Disabled Organization organized the fourth youth discussion in Halabja, in which a topic on ((The role of tolerance in coexistence and peace)) for (M. Musab Adam) writer and translator organized. It is worth to mention that the series of discussions is supported by the International Organization for Migration

Halabja Disabled Organization continues its activities on 6/9/2023 in the nature of Hawraman conducted a fifth youth dialogue with youth on several topics including:

Mr. Arslan Abed spoke about (Participation and Role of Youth in Coexistence and Social Peace) and then Mrs. Nyan Aziz spoke about (How to provide a peaceful environment for people with disabilities).

During the day, various activities were carried out such as artistic activities by Mr. (Goran Namdar, Mohammed Mazhar, Mahnaz Salim).

It is worthening to mention that these series of discussions is supported by the International Organization for Migration.

    Finally, Thanks to the Youth Activity Center for organizing the venue.

Halabja Disabled Organization believes that youth have an important role in building peace, so to strengthen leadership skills and encourage them to be more confident when discussing peace and conflict resolution

The organization conducted the second youth dialogue in which a useful topic on (the Religious Diversity and Coexistence: Fostering peaceful coexistence among different religions) by Mr. Massoud Babaei.

This activity was in the framework of the "Peace Builders Project."

ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامانی هەڵەبجە لەکارەکانیدا هەمیشە بە گرنگیەوە  لە چینی لاوانی ڕوانیوە چوونکە پێیوایە لاوان دروستکەری ئاشتین و ڕۆڵی گرنگ لەوبوارەدا دەگێڕن.

بەو بۆنەیەوە  هەستاین بە دروستکردنی "یانەی ئاشتی" کە  دەستپێشخەرییەکی ئیلهامبەخشە و ئامانجی پەروەردەکردنی ئاشتی و لێکتێگەیشتنە لە نێوان لاوانی تەمەن 13-18 ساڵ لە  هەڵەبجە.

یانەی ئاشتی لەچوارچێوەی پڕۆژەی(بنیاتنانی ئاشتی – بەهێزکردنی کۆمەڵگەی هەڵەبجە بۆ ئاشتی و یەکگرتوویی کۆمەڵایەتی)  بەپشتگیری ڕێکخراوی نێودەوڵەتی بۆ کۆچ لە هەڵەبجە بەڕێوەدەچێت.

ئەمە تەنها سەرەتای گەشتەکەمانە بەرەو کۆمەڵگایەکی گشتگیر و ئاشتیانەتر، شانازی بە لاوانی یانەی ئاشتیمانەوە دەکەین و دڵخۆشین بەو گۆڕانکارییە ئەرێنییەی کە بۆ کۆمەڵگاکەمان دەیھێنن.

Halabja Disabled Organization has always paid attention to the youth because we believe youth are the creators of peace and play an important role in this field.

Due to this HDO established the Peace Club, an inspiring initiative aimed at fostering peace and understanding among youth aged 13-18 in Halabja.

It is worth mentioning that the Peace Club is run within the framework of the project (Building Peace – Strengthening Halabja Society for Peace and Social Unity) with the support of the International Organization for Migration in Halabja

This is just the beginning of our journey towards a more inclusive and peaceful society. We are proud of our youth participants and excited about the positive change they are bringing to our community.
