The Halabja Disabled Organization is conducting a series of trainings for youth within the framework of the NextGen Civil Society Leaders: Empowering Youth for Change initiative.
This initiative aims to empower young individuals by enhancing their organizational skills and introducing them to key issues in organizational work. Our goal is to educate young people about organizational dynamics, thereby cultivating a generation of youth leaders prepared to make a positive impact in their communities. The program will span six months, with each session focusing on a crucial aspect of organizational work.

The President of Halabja Disabled Organization participated in the project to support women in the field of peace and security that have been selected throughout Iraq to implement the project to support women in the field of peace and security.
During the last week of June, sfcg_iraq Search for Common Ground, in partnership with the Women Empowerment Organization, conducted a two-day training under the WYPS project targeting 19 men from across Iraq. The main purpose of this training was to make these men aware on social justice and the impact of cultures and traditions on the social fabric. The training also focused on strategies to increase men's roles in women's participation in peace and security, promoting positive masculinities, and enhancing positive attitudes toward .masculinity

Participation
A representative from the Halabja Disabled Organization participated in a pivotal meeting hosted by the Ministry, attended by Mr. Zakia Syed Saleh, the deputy minister.
The meeting concentrated on the development of a comprehensive strategy for people with disabilities. Key areas of focus included health, social structure, empowerment, education, employment opportunities, legislation, policies, awareness, and accessibility to infrastructure and services. Additionally, the discussion encompassed the methodology of preparation and strategic planning, which involves "case studies, planning, implementation, follow-up, and analysis methods."
The importance of coordination among relevant ministries for drafting the strategy was underscored, with plans to conduct further meetings and workshops. Input from organizations representing disabled individuals and those with short stature was actively solicited.
During a subsequent press conference, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs announced the establishment of a fund to assist disabled individuals, with the account number 472.
