July 15 is celebrated annually as World Youth Skills Day. This observance aims to empower and enhance the skills of young people, enabling them to navigate critical areas of life and the labor market, while also expanding communication platforms with various individuals and institutions.

Under this year's slogan, states and decision-making bodies worldwide are committed to empowering young people to achieve a better future.

At Halabja Disabled Organization, enhancing the skills of young people is a pivotal long-term objective. The organization's vision for a stable and peaceful society hinges on youth empowerment. We strive to achieve this through comprehensive training programs and targeted scientific activities. Moreover, we focus on fostering moderate thinking and promoting the spirit of volunteerism for the public good, particularly among youth with disabilities.

ئەمەش بەئامانجی توانادارکردن و بەرزکردنەوەی لێهاتووییەکانیان بۆ دەستڕاگەیشتن بە گرنگترین بوارەکانی ژیانکردن لەلایەک و بازاڕی کارو کارسازی و فراوانکردنی سەکۆکانی پەیوەندی لەگەڵ کەس و ناوەندەکانی تردا.

لە دروشمی ئەمساڵدا دەوڵەت و ناوەندەکانی بڕیار لەسەرانسەری جیهاندا کاردەکەن بەئامانجی تواناسازی گەنجان بەئامانجی گەیشتن بەداهاتوویەکی باشتر.

The President of Halabja Disabled Organization participated in the project to support women in the field of peace and security that have been selected throughout Iraq to implement the project to support women in the field of peace and security.

During the last week of June, sfcg_iraq Search for Common Ground, in partnership with the Women Empowerment Organization, conducted a two-day training under the WYPS project targeting 19 men from across Iraq. The main purpose of this training was to make these men aware on social justice and the impact of cultures and traditions on the social fabric. The training also focused on strategies to increase men's roles in women's participation in peace and security, promoting positive masculinities, and enhancing positive attitudes toward .masculinity

 

ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامانی هەڵەبجە وەک تاکە ڕێکخراو لە هەرێمی کوردوستان کەبەشێوەیەکی ئەکادیمی بۆماوەی یازدە ساڵە لەبواری پەروەردە و فێربوون کاردەکات بەشداربوو لە ۆرکشۆپی (بەربەستەکانی بەردەم قوتابیانی خاوەن پێداویستی تایبەت و کێشە و گرفتەکانیان) لەلایەن ڕێکخراوی (SAVE THE CHILDEREN) نێودەوڵەتیەوە ئەنجام درا بەئامادەبوونی ژمارەیەک لە وەزارەتەکان و ڕێکخراوە عێراقیەکانی تایبەت بەبواری پەروەردەو فێرکردن.

 

A representative from the Halabja Disabled Organization participated in a pivotal meeting hosted by the Ministry, attended by Mr. Zakia Syed Saleh, the deputy minister.

The meeting concentrated on the development of a comprehensive strategy for people with disabilities. Key areas of focus included health, social structure, empowerment, education, employment opportunities, legislation, policies, awareness, and accessibility to infrastructure and services. Additionally, the discussion encompassed the methodology of preparation and strategic planning, which involves "case studies, planning, implementation, follow-up, and analysis methods."

The importance of coordination among relevant ministries for drafting the strategy was underscored, with plans to conduct further meetings and workshops. Input from organizations representing disabled individuals and those with short stature was actively solicited.

During a subsequent press conference, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs announced the establishment of a fund to assist disabled individuals, with the account number 472.

 

 

The Halabja Disabled Organization, as the sole representative from the Kurdistan Region, participated in the workshop titled "Obstacles Facing Students with Disabilities and Their Challenges." This event was organized by Save the Children International and attended by several Iraqi ministries and organizations within the education sector.
