Event to overcome negative perceptions and empower youth with disabilities
On the occasion of 3/12) World Day of Persons with Disabilities (. Halabja Disabled Organization and Halabja Social Welfare and Development Directorate organized an event (Defying Labels, Empowering Youth with Disabilities) which was held in the presence of the governor of Halabja and his deputies in the hall of the youth directorate.
During the event, various activities were presented including (conducting panel, showing the ability of young people with disabilities through telling their life stories, performing several pieces of music)
It is worth mentioning that this event was sponsored by Fida International Organization.

Peace Symposium
Peace Week (From Subject to Need) organized jointly between Halabja Disabled Organization and Halabja University
It included a variety of activities, another activity was the Peace Symposium, in which several paintings of peace were painted by artists and on the last day of the Peace Week, within exhibition of paintings by the artists was introduced and certificates of participation were awarded to the participants by the Halabja Disabled Organization and the President of Halabja University.
