Young people are an important and influential section of any society. In the new era, one of the basic pillars of the development of any society, if in the past this section had physical strength to protect society from attacks Outsiders, then, today, along with their physical strength, have creative ideas to change direction common in society,
The degree of understanding and provision of their needs determines the degree of development of society. Young people have the most demands, each of which has a direct impact on their physical and mental development, and the lack of provision of their needs has the opposite effect.
According to the United Nations (UNESCO), young people make up 18% of the world's population. According to the Kurdistan Regional Government, the population in the Kurdistan Region is young, with 35% of the population under 15 years old and 28% They are between 15-29 years old 30- 49 years old make up 20% of the population.
On the World Day of Persons with Disabilities, Halabja Disabled Organization organized the first event in collaboration with Halabja General Directorate of Social Welfare and Development dispelling negative attitudes, empowering youth with disabilities).
Objectives of the activity:
- Celebrating World Day of Persons with Disabilities.
- Learning from the experience of young people with disabilities and sharing personal experiences with others.
- Presenting the effects of resistance and personal strength of people with disabilities in facing life challenges and overcoming obstacles.
