Planting Trees

This planting trees and flowers activity is an attempt implemented as a response to climate change and to increase the green space in the schools, the project is implemented by Halabja Disabled Organization and supported by Fida International in partnership with General Education Directorate of Halabja.

 

In addition, planting large numbers of local trees is considered one of the most successful attempts to combat climate change.

 

Aim of the project:

- Combating climate change in the Kurdistan Region – Halabja Governorate.

- Encouraging the culture of tree planting within the schools and students.

- Re-greening the schools.

-Providing accessibilities for some schools.

-Raise awareness about Environment.

 

Tree planting plan:

• 2022: 500 trees and 250 Flowers

• 2023: 500 trees

• 2024: 500 trees

• 2025: 500 trees

 

By the end of 2025, a total of 2000 trees will be planted.

 

This activity is implemented within the framework of (Inclusive Education and peaceful living environment for students with special needs).
