Two members of HDO as representative participated in HIWAR Project training.
Sponsored by UNDP Iraq In coordination with the Iraqi government and funded from the European Union, #UPP organization launched the first training for the "Hiwar" project, which brought together a number of civil society organizations that won the program's grant in order to familiarize them with the mechanisms for implementing activities and programs.
As the only organisation in Halabja, #HDO will be part of implementing "contribute towards empowerment and inclusion of youth with disabilities" project in the framework of Hiwar Project.

Youth Empowerment
Within the framework of the project (Youth empowerment and inclusion of youth with disabilities) by Halabja Disabled Organization in collaboration with Un Ponte Per (UPP) sponsored by UNDP and coordinated by the Iraqi Government and with financial support from the European Union.
On 5.6.7/9/2022 HDO concluded the youth training program for the first group of youth and youth with disabilities on (advocacy, dialogue and self-confidence, the role of accessibility to promote inclusive community and people with disability rights, and soft skills).

As the only disability organization and an endless support from Fida international, we Started the educational courses for students with disabilities in Halabja.

-Writing and reading
-storytelling
- Psychosocial support and Psychological Well-being of students with disabilities.
- Environmental protection.
Children with disabilities just need more attention and appropriate teaching methods to continue studying.
Meeting with parents of students with disabilities
The meeting of parents and the start of the summer course of Halabja Disabled Organization, the purpose of consultation and awareness and the importance of education for students with disabilities and the role of parents in improving and supporting thier children's Education, especially children with disabilities.
The purpose of this meeting is to understand and consult in order to help students with disabilities continue their education
