In order to improve the conditions of the people with disabilities and facilitate their access, Halabja Disabled Organization organized a workshop for engineering department in coordination with Tishk International University.

Several topics were presented (The harms of lack of accessibility on the people with disabilities) (The latest scientific engineering approaches to accessibility) (Universal design)

this workshop is conducted in the framework of the "HIWAR" Project by Halabja Disabled Organization (HDO) in partnership with Un Ponte Per (UPP), Sponsored by UNDP Iraq In coordination with the Iraqi government, and funded by the European Union.

In the presence of Mr. Soran Omar (General Director of Education of Halabja) and Dr. Jorma Kuitunen (Country Programme Manager – Iraq of Fida), Halabja Disabled Organization concluded the capacity development program for 13 educational supervisors of Halabja and Penjwen with six months

The entire training topic was introducing the supervisors to (Inclusive Education and Supporting Students with Disabilities).

The last day of training was about the Finnish education system. The topics were taught by Finnish experts and the University of Jyväskylä –Collage of Education, one of the global top-ranked universities

Firstly, Senior Expert Raija Pirttimaa: explained the basics of the Finnish education system to the participants.

بە ئامادەبونی بەڕێز م.سۆران عومەر (بەڕێوەبەری گشتی پەروەردەیی هەڵەبجە) و د.یۆرما کوتنێن (بەڕێوەبەری ڕێکخراوی فیدای نێودەوڵەتی لەعێراق)٫ ڕێکخراوی کەمئەندامانی هەڵەبجە کۆتایی هێنا بە(پڕۆگرامی پەرەپێدانی توانای سەرپەرشتیارانی کە بۆ 13 سەرپەرشتیاری پەروەردەیی هەڵەبجە و پێنجوێن ڕێکخرابوو لەماوەی 6 مانگدا).

تەواوی بابەتەکانی ڕاهێنانە ئاشناکردنی سەرپەرشتیاران بوو بە (پەروەردەی گشتگیر و پشتگیریکردنی قوتابیانی خاوەن پێداویستی تایبەت).

کۆتا ڕۆژی ڕاهێنان تابەت بوو بە  سیستەم و پڕۆگرامی پەروەردەی  وڵاتی فنلاند کاریان لەسەر ئەکات و بابەتەکان لەلایەن  شارەزایانی وڵاتی فینلاند و زانکۆی یوڤیسکلای فینلاندیەوا-بەشی پەروەردەوە وترانەوە، کەیەکێکە لە پێشکەوتووترین زانکۆکانی جیهان لە بواری پەروەردەدا.

Staff and youth volunteers of Halabja Disabled Organization visited the government directorates and offices in Halabja province to discuss the steps of implementing Law No. 22 of 2011 of the Kurdistan Parliament and introduce them to the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

It is worth mentioning that the visit was conducted within the framework of the Youth Empowerment and Inclusion of Youth with Disabilities. Environmental seminar was conducted in the framework of  (Inclusive Education in a Peaceful living Environment for Students with Disabilities) project, in order to familiarize students with the disadvantages of using plastic matrials and also teaching them about how to protect their school environment.

On Saturday, 2022/10/15, within the framework of (The youth empowerment and inclusion of youth with disabilities) project, in the presence of Cihan University Sulaymaniyah President, Assist. Prof Dr. (Omid Rafiq Fatah), ‏The workshop was entitled (The role of accessibility features in enhancing a community consciousness) for engineering departments.
